A tropical island and one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations, Boracay is quite a wonder to many tourists.
It is situated off the northwest corner of the island of Panay, and belongs to the Western Visayas island-group of the Philippines. There are two primary beaches found in the island and these are the White Beach and Bulabog Beach which are located on opposite sides of the island. White beach happens to be the main tourism beach and is about four kilometers long which is lined with resorts, hotels, lodging houses, restaurants, and other tourism-related businesses.
The island is a competitive venue for the Asian Windsurfing Tour with a week-long Boracay International Funboard Cup competition that is held on Bulabog Beach every January. Dragon boat races are also held in the place with the support of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation. A stay in Boracay Island is just like staying in a real paradise.
